HAPPYDAYS List your property

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This page explains what data we collect when you use the HAPPYDAYS website (happydaysegypt.com), what we use it for, and your rights over it. We comply with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, and we apply the same principles to the data of visitors from outside Egypt.

Who is responsible for your data

HAPPYDAYS, a company that manages and operates apartments and hotel rooms, based in Hurghada, Egypt.

Data we collect

  • “List your property” form (for property owners): name, mobile number, email (optional), city or area, property type and number of rooms, the contract model that suits you, a link to the property’s listing if there is one, any notes you write, and your consent to be contacted by us.
  • Stay enquiry form: name, mobile number, email (optional), dates and number of guests, and any notes.
  • Job applications: name, mobile number, email, position, CV link and your message.
  • Visit statistics: we use our own visit counter, without cookies and without recording IP addresses. It records a random number stored in your browser, the page opened, the site you came from, the device type (mobile, tablet, computer) and the language. This data does not identify you and is deleted after 400 days.
  • Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 from Google to understand how many visits we get, which pages are read most and where visitors come from. It records the pages you open, how long you stay, the site you came from, your device and browser type, and your approximate country and city. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address.
  • Meta Pixel: we use the Meta Pixel from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure the results of our ads there. It records the pages you open and actions such as submitting a form, and Meta may link this to your Meta account if you are logged in.

What we use your data for

  • To respond to your request or enquiry and contact you about it.
  • To inspect your property and make you a management offer, if you are an owner.
  • To review job applications.
  • To understand how visitors use the website so that we can improve it.
  • To measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show HAPPYDAYS ads to people who have visited the website before.

We do not sell your data, and we do not send you marketing messages without your consent.

Booking through our partners

Some of the stays shown on the website come from booking partners (such as Stay22, Booking.com and Agoda). When you click on one of their stays or make a booking, you deal with the partner directly, and your data and payment details are subject to that partner’s own privacy policy. These listing sections appear within the website through the partner and may use the partner’s own cookies.

Cookies and browser storage

  • Currency selection: a cookie named hd_cur if you change the currency.
  • Dark mode: your choice is saved in your browser only.
  • Visit counter: a random number stored in your browser, not a cookie.
  • Google Analytics: cookies named _ga and _ga_* to recognise repeat visits.
  • Meta Pixel: a cookie named _fbp to measure ads.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, turn off Google Analytics with Google’s official opt-out add-on, and control the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram from the ad preferences in your account. Booking partners may also use their own cookies within their listing sections.

Who sees your data

Form data is seen only by the HAPPYDAYS team responsible for the request, and it is stored on the website’s hosting servers. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel data is received by Google and Meta as service providers, is also subject to their own privacy policies, and may be processed on servers outside Egypt. We do not share form data with any other party unless the law requires it.

How long we keep data

We keep request data for as long as it is needed to communicate with you or to carry out an agreement between us; after that we delete or anonymise it. Visit statistics are deleted automatically after 400 days, and Google Analytics data is kept by Google for the period set in our account settings, at most 14 months.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time. Send us your request through the contact channels published on the website, and we will reply as soon as possible.

Security

The website runs on HTTPS, and access to requests is restricted to our team through protected accounts. Nevertheless, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, and the date of the last update is shown at the top. If a change is significant, we will point it out on the website.
